South Devon is one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in the UK, loved for its rolling countryside, dramatic coastline, and abundance of rustic barns and beautiful outdoor spaces. And I'm lucky enough to live and work here!
HOWEVER!...With so much choice, choosing a wedding venue in South Devon can feel a bit like speed-dating barns, beaches and fields. One minute you’re swooning over sea views, the next you’re imagining yourself getting married in a meadow surrounded by sheep who may or may not behave themselves on the day.
Luckily, South Devon is packed with gorgeous spots - from DIY farms and historic halls to coastal hideaways that make you seriously consider quitting your job to become a full-time beach person (I mean, I consider this pretty-much daily).
As a wedding celebrant who spends a lot of time enjoying these lovely places, I’ve put together my top 10 wedding venues in South Devon to help you find “the one” - venue-wise, at least....You’ve hopefully already sorted the other one.
(Just a heads-up: these aren’t in any particular order - each one is unique and brilliant in its own way, so I couldn’t possibly rank them. If you’d like to tell me a bit about yourselves, I’d be happy to chat and help suggest the venues that might suit your vibe - just give me a shout!)
